Eat Brains and Live: Zombies, Identity, & Media

Zombie stories have been about a lot of things: racism, fear, consumption, politics, and the unknown. This panel takes a look at the phenomenon of the zombie, from its roots in Africa and Haiti, to its associated themes and interpretations in cinema, games, and anime. More than a retrospective, the discussion will attempt to create a more inclusive definition of what zombie means, and how it can be applied in discourse.
